Cypress Embraces Community

November 5-16 Cypress Adventist School has its annual “Kids for Cans” drive to bring in non-perishable food for Northwest Harvest.  Each year we aim at bringing in at least 1000 pounds of food.
Our students in grades 6-8 volunteer at the Northwest Harvest warehouse in Kent several times throughout the year.  Northwest Harvest supplies food to all the food banks in Washington State.
On October 28, Cypress students assisted in a Fall clean-up day at a Seattle church.
Cypress students will collect Christmas gifts in November for the “His Kids” gift program sponsored by Green Lake SDA Church in Seattle.  This effort will provide gifts for Seattle area children who would not have a Christmas without our help.
Cypress students will collect WARM coats, hats, gloves, boots and blankets to be taken to a Seattle Mission for the homeless during the first two weeks of December.
